Engineering Lead / Manager - Lending

Key Responsibilities:

As manager, lead and mentor a team of software engineers reporting to you in design, development, andmaintenance of retail and SME lending system.

Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements anddeliver solutions that meet business needs.

Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing,deployment, and maintenance.

Ensure high performance, scalability, and availability of the lending systems.

Implements best practices for software development, code reviews and continuous integration / continuousdeployment (CI/CD) like Jenkins.

Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.

Identify and address technical debt, ensuring the long-term maintainability and stability of the systems

Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the engineering team

Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as an engineering lead or in a similar leadership role within the financial service industry.

Strong technical background in software development, with expertise in web app (NextJs),Java,SpringBoot,MySQL,Kafkaandmicroservicesarchitecture.

In-depth knowledge of credit underwriting and collection domain, and related technologies e.g.CCRIS, Experianetc.

Experience with RESTful API development and integration

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g.Git) and agile development methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Understanding of security principles and compliance requirements is a plus

Optional Qualification:

Experience with cloud platform e.g. AWS is a plus.

Experience with credit decision engine and ML Ops is a plus
