Develop and implement asset care strategies to improve overall equipment performance and reliability.
Lead engineering teams for installation and maintenance of facilities, utilities, and process equipment.
Optimize maintenance costs while enhancing asset availability using advanced techniques (RCM, risk-based approaches, Lean/Six Sigma).
Maintain technical expertise for key equipment and utilities (e.g., formulation equipment, boiler, air compressor, chiller, purified water plant, HVAC).
Provide guidance on design and procurement of process equipment and utilities for pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging.
Prepare and manage operating and capital expenditure budgets effectively.
Coach, develop, and motivate team members to foster a high-performance culture.
Manage third-party vendors, ensuring compliance and performance standards.
Drive productivity improvements and upskill staff for new technologies.
Lead audits by regulatory agencies (e.g., NPRA, CQA) and ensure adherence to cGMP standards.
Implement and maintain Quality Systems within the maintenance function.
Act as custodian of safety and compliance for engineering activities on site.
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of experience as an Engineering Maintenance Manager in Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industries.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, utilities, and cGMP requirements.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
Skilled in developing maintenance strategies aligned with business objectives.
Proficient in root cause analysis, risk-based maintenance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Capable of managing CAPEX/OPEX budgets and executing engineering projects effectively.
Deep understanding of NPRA, CQA, and other regulatory standards.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and manage external vendors.
Ability to interpret data and drive decisions based on performance metrics.
Comfortable with new technologies and digital tools for maintenance optimization.
Experience with AutoCAD software and data analysis tools
Strong leadership and project management abilities
