- Lab asset and operations:
- Lead and organize technician(s) to conduct HVAC product (eg.: FCU, CDU and/or AHU) testing.
- Personally execute test runs, set up with relevant and monitor data recording in accordance with established procedures.
- Own equipment, instrumentation and control system in testing facility.
- Eliminate any equipment and instrumentation, calibration issues and assist management team in addressing any technical issues.
- Proactively engage relevant vendors and process partners to keep equipment and instrumentation 100% operational.
- Make sure all the critical equipment and instrumentation is operating within limits and comply with necessary standard.
- Provide support to engineers/management for laboratory activities.
- Must be an advocate of safe workspace and champion to the corporations EHS policy.
- Documentations on TPM, SOP's / WI, EHS JHA:
- Develop/maintain/enforce SOP's, WI, TPM as well as EHS JHA/PTW.
- Enforce strict electrical safety (High Power / High Voltage) and calibration standards to maintain a zero-incident environment.
- Overseas and supports troubleshooting for lab facilities and support systems.
- Familiar with continuous improvement activities, practice and support Carrier Excellence activities in accordance with corporate requirements.
- Candidates must possess minimum 10 years experience in HVAC product performance test (a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent is preferred)
- Working experience with good understanding of HVAC systems, comfort air and indoor air quality (IAQ)
- Hands-on experience on equipment setup, wiring, brazing, testing (FCU/CDU/AHU) with internal procedures and safety
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and test instruments
- Knowledge of electrical, electronics and controls
- Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Able to work independently and a good team player, working and communicating with different levels and various departments
- Able to work in environment with exposure temperature variations, refrigerants, electricals, and other lab-specific conditions.
- Possess continuous improvement and change mindset to improve products and processes
