Enterprise Risk Management Senior Specialist

Description

The risk function of Commerz Global Service Solutions (CGSS) is responsible for effectively managing the relevant risk types to minimize the risk exposure for CGSS, its customers and employees. It is also the function's responsibility to ensure that a strong risk culture is embedded across the business.

Responsibilities

• Design and ongoing improvement of the risk management framework including the associated controls and processes.
• Establish and develop an early risk identification process with corresponding risk metrics / risk indicators.
• Evaluation of the risk exposure and development of mitigation measures.
• Continuous monitoring of the effectiveness of the mitigating controls, further development of existing risk indicators and risk metrics.
• Target group oriented regular consolidated risk reporting.
• Aligning and interlinking the existing incident management and escalation process to relevant processes and tabletop exercises within the Commerzbank group.
• Continuous monitoring of the relevant regulatory and legal requirements for risk management relevant for the financial services sector.

Formal Education :

University degree - preferably with a focus on banking, financial mathematics, business informatics - or comparable qualification

Skills and Qualifications

• At least 5 years of proven working experience in risk governance, preferably in a regulated financial services business.
• In-depth knowledge of risk management methods, procedures, and processes - including best practices for risk governance.
• Profound knowledge of global regulatory risk management requirements for the financial sector.
• Relevant certification in the area of risk management / governance is beneficial.
• Strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, solution-oriented working.
• Stakeholder management and business partnering, collaboration across business units to drive strategic key outcomes.
• Strong analysis skills, judgement and decision-making ability considering the short and long-term impacts.
• Mitigating risks through understanding previous learnings.
• Self-driven and confident speaker with strong communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
