My client is an MNC within IT industry, providing solutions for the Energy / Pharmaceutical space.
About the Role
Our client is looking for a HSE Manager, to build our safety function from the ground up across Singapore, Australia, Korea, Japan, and India. This greenfield role covers corporate offices, retail sites, customer environments, and live/construction data centres.
You'll partner with regional technical teams and the EMEA H&S team to align global standards, while staying hands-on at the site level.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Compliance
- Build core H&S policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks for the region
- Develop country-specific action plans aligned to local legislation
- Implement incident reporting, risk registers, dashboards, and corrective action tracking
- Act as SME on risk management, injury prevention, drug & alcohol programs, return-to-work, and business continuity
- Monitor regulations across all five countries; liaise with client EHS teams and manage subcontractor compliance
Project & Site Support
- Guide PMs, engineers, and technicians on risk assessments, permits-to-work, and controls
- Conduct random site safety checks; create and review monthly inspection checklists
- Design toolbox talks and pre-start briefings for on-site delivery
Incident Management & Culture
- Lead incident/near-miss investigations and root-cause analysis
- Support return-to-work plans and oversee workers comp activity
- Maintain KPI reporting for APAC leadership; issue safety alerts regionally
- Build a regional training matrix and develop local safety Champions
Audit Readiness
- Prepare for and support internal/client/regulatory audits
- Maintain audit-ready documentation; track findings through to closure
Ideal Profile
- Minimum 10 years H&S experience in technical services, construction, MEP, data centres, or critical environments
- Proven track record building/maturing an H&S management system
- Strong grasp of APAC H&S legislation
- Hands-on with RAMS, permit-to-work, audits, and investigations
- Comfortable engaging clients, contractors, and regulators directly
- NEBOSH/IOSH/ISO 45001 certification, multilingual skills, digital safety platform experience, exposure to global audit programs
