JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Monitoring health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace.
2.Advising employees on how to minimize or ultimately avoid risk and hazard in the workplace.
2. Ensuring the business is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation.
3. To act on behalf of the Company to maintain good liaison with the local government authorities and agencies such as DOSH, NIOSH, DOE, BOMBA, etc.
4. Working with and training all employees to manage, monitor and improve the health and safety standards in the workplace.
5. Being responsible for all safety inspections in the workplace (e.g. monitoring noise levels in a warehouse).
6. Assisting with the creation and management of health and safety monitoring systems and policies in the workplace.
7. Managing emergency procedures (fire alarm drills) and organising emergency teams such as fire marshals and first aiders.
8. Offering general health and safety advice to all employees.
9. To plan and organize the OSH audit and review via the safety and health implementation plan & program.
10. Act as a focal point for all external audit by clients or local authorities with respect to the hazards identification control in the company work areas.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. At least a Diploma / Degree in in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science or equivalent.
2. Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.
3. Minimum 5 years working experience in similar capacity is preferred.
4. Certification in / certified: DOSH certified Safety Officer, Lead Auditor of SHE Management System, Industrial Hygiene Assessor, Advance NIOSH Trainer, would be an added advantage.
5. Result-oriented, possess a strong sense of responsibility, urgency and commitment to efficiently meet deadlines.
6. Self-starter and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
7. Familiar with data analysis and statistic reporting.
8. Must be willing to work in Pulau Indah, Klang
