Environment Health Safety (EHS) Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage site EHS section operations, and responsible for section budget, goals and performance.
• Participate in the development and implementation of corporate-wide EHS policies and standards, goals, and communication.
• Develop and implement site EHS programs, practices and procedures to meet site EHS goals and corporate EHS goals.
• Lead site in compliance with laws and regulations associated with site EHS issues, and ISO14001 & OSHAS18001.
• Be accountable for all projects assigned to the section and provide support and consultant to assigned engineer to be sure of the delivery.
• Ensure EHS participation in problem identification and resolution as appropriate.
• Be involved in appropriate groups and individuals in identification and resolution as appropriate.
• Lead and participate in plant wide cross initiative to promote EHS awareness, and total involvement culture. Such as EHS committee, compliance initiative.
• Train, develop and retain staff
• Other working tasks assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering of safety or environment, or equivalent.
• Good oral and written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Possess 35 years Environment, Health & Safety expertise experience in a high paced environment (Manufacturing).
• Registered as Safety & Health Officer is an additional advantage.
• Professional certification in health, safety or environment.
