Job Purpose:
Plan and Implement all aspects of the organization's environmental management activities to ensure proper control of environmental hazards
Key Accountabilities:
- Plan and implement all aspects of an organization's environmental management activities to ensure successful execution at project site
- Implement strategies for complying with environmental regulations to minimize the organization's impact on air, land and water quality
- Conduct noise monitoring in areas where noise exposure is likely to be hazardous in order to monitor noise level throughout the entire site
- Identify environmental issues that may affect the organization or its employees and develops plans for corrective actions
- Prepare all environmental reports to management and authority whenever required
- Organize and conduct environmental induction talks to construction workers
- Draft safety plan, provide guidelines and arrange safety talks related to Environmental to increase awareness on the importance
- Liaise with the environmental consultant to work collaboratively in the planning and the implementation of environmental matters
- Carry out regular assessment and inspection at the site and report any non-compliance or potential non-compliance on environmental issue as well as coordinate the corrective or prevention action
Requirements:
- Degree in industrial safety/ hygiene/ environmental engineering / technical engineering or related discipline with over 5 years relevant experience in the similar field
- Strong in HSE governance and contractor management
- Knowledgeable in HSE Management system (HSEMS), Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA), ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001. HSE Risk Assessment & Management (HIRARC)
- Experienced in Operational Waste Management, Emergency Response & Crisis Management, Development & Implementation of HSE Plan & Operating Procedures, incident & reporting and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
Preferably have below certifications:
- Certified Erosion, Sediment and StormWater Inspector (CESSWI).
- Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM).
- Certified Professional for Environmental Officer in Environmental Impact Assessment (CePEOEIA)
