Job Title: Equipment Integration (EI) Engineer Location: Kulim, Malaysia Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (Extendable/Convertible) Salary: MYR 5,000 – 6,000 per month

Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Equipment Integration (EI) Engineer to manage the configuration, deployment, and end-to-end testing of factory automation systems. You will bridge the gap between manufacturing tools and the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), ensuring seamless data flow through robust communication protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• System Configuration: Set up station controller software to link shop-floor production tools with the MES.
• Connectivity Management: Troubleshoot and fine-tune SECS/GEM (SEMI standards) communication links; map variables, events, and reports.
• API Integration: Validate API calls (SOAP/JSON/XML) to ensure reliable telemetry data transfer and system handshakes.
• Testing & Quality: Define and execute integration, regression, and UAT test scenarios prior to production deployment.
• Production Support: Perform Tier-2 support, monitor system health, and diagnose automation interlock failures to minimize downtime.
• Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and internal cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth tool hook-ups.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
• Experience: 3+ years in CIM Engineering, factory automation, or equipment integration within the semiconductor/electronics manufacturing industry.
• Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of SECS/GEM protocols and simulation tools (e.g., FastSIM, GEMTester). Proficiency in SQL for log auditing and API verification (JSON/XML).
• Nationality: Must be a Malaysian citizen
