ERP Project Lead (Functional & Technical)

We are seeking an experienced ERP Project Lead with strong functional and technical expertise (preference to Oracle NetSuite) to own end-to-end delivery of ERP implementation projects and lead a team of functional and technical consultants. The role requires someone equally comfortable engaging business users to shape requirements and guiding the technical team through configuration, customization, and integration work, while managing project timelines, quality, and stakeholder communication. As this is a work-from-office role based in Malaysia, fluency in Bahasa Malaysia is mandatory to effectively engage local clients, business users, and government-linked stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ERP project delivery — from requirement analysis and solution design through configuration, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of functional and technical consultants, allocating tasks, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring quality and timeliness
• Gather and analyze business requirements across Finance, Procurement, Inventory, CRM, and Operations
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and ERP configurations, and guide the technical team on customizations, scripting, and integrations
• Configure ERP modules based on client requirements and oversee technical build activities (customization, workflows, APIs/integrations, data migration)
• Own the project plan — scope, timelines, resourcing, risks, and status reporting to internal and client stakeholders
• Conduct workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution walkthroughs with business users and technical teams
• Oversee preparation of functional and technical design documents (FDD/TDD), process flows, and test plans/cases
• Coordinate between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment on customizations and integrations
• Oversee system testing, UAT support, and issue resolution through to successful go-live
• Drive end-user training and change management initiatives
• Provide post-implementation support, system optimization, and continuous improvement
• Ensure project documentation, governance, and adherence to best practices
• Serve as the primary point of contact for local (Bahasa Malaysia-speaking) business users and stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Finance, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in ERP Functional and/or Technical Consulting, with demonstrated experience leading project teams or workstreams
• Hands-on experience with at least one ERP platform (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.), combining both functional configuration and technical customization/integration exposure
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a project or consulting team
• Strong understanding of Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, or Manufacturing processes
• Experience in writing functional and technical specifications and solution documentation
• Experience in full lifecycle ERP implementations, ideally in a project lead or team lead capacity
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia (mandatory) and English, spoken and written
