Estate Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for estate development, maintenance, harvesting, replanting and related activities
• Oversee daily estate operations to achieve optimal efficiency, productivity and cost effectiveness
• Monitor, control and evaluate estate operations in accordance with the Group's policies and good agricultural practices
• Lead, motivate and develop the Assistant Manager and estate team to achieve operational targets
• Establish performance targets and implement best agronomic practices to maximize FFB yields
• Monitor water management, soil fertility, pest and disease control, harvesting practices and other estate operational standards
• Prepare, review and manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets and ensure effective cost control
• Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, labour, safety, health and sustainability laws, regulations and standards, including MSPO
• Oversee estate infrastructure, including roads, workers housing, utilities and other facilities
• Prepare regular estate performance reports and provide updates to senior management and/or the Board
• Undertake other duties and projects as assigned by management

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plantation Management or a related field
• More than 7 years of plantation management experience, including at least 3-5 years in an Estate Manager role
• Experience in the development and management of peat soil estates is highly preferred
• Strong leadership, people management and decision-making skills
• Strong understanding of budgeting, cost management and operational planning
• Excellent knowledge of plantation agronomy and relevant laws and regulations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrates strong integrity, professionalism and work ethics
• Willing to reside at the estate and travel frequently as required
