Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of complex ETL workflows using IBM DataStage.
- Write, optimize, and review advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
- Automate and streamline data workflows using Linux shell scripting.
- Use MS SQL utilities (BCP) for efficient data extraction/loading.
- Provide root-cause analysis for highpriority production incidents and drive permanent fixes.
- Guide architecture discussions, contribute to solution design, and ensure best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews using GitHub.
- Manage change and incident processes via ServiceNow.
- Maintain documentation and knowledge repositories in Confluence.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and participate in Agile ceremonies using Jira.
Required Skills:
- 2-5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage and MS SQL Server.
- Strong expertise in SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Advanced Linux shell scripting proficiency.
- Experience handling large datasets, performance tuning, and batch job orchestration.
- Strong background in production support and troubleshooting.
- Experience using GitHub, ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
- Ability to lead initiatives, manage priorities, and make technical decisions.
