Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Batu Ferringhi for an Event Coordinator. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and managing events, liaising with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, coordinating with vendors, and meeting sales objectives. The role requires attention to detail, effective multitasking, and fostering excellent communication with clients and internal teams to deliver memorable event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage various events including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, and social functions.
  • Liaise with clients to understand event requirements, preferences, and expectations.
  • Work closely with internal departments such as banquet, kitchen, housekeeping, and audiovisual teams to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Prepare event orders, schedules, and operational details for each function.
  • Oversee event setup and ensure all arrangements meet the client's expectations.
  • Handle last-minute requests and resolve issues promptly during events.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and operations team before, during, and after the event.
  • Assist with event proposals, quotations, and post-event follow-ups.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field.
  • Previous experience in hotel events, banquet operations, or event coordination is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
