Role Description The Event Sales Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur, responsible for supporting the hotel's event sales and coordination activities. This position manages incoming event inquiries, prepares proposals and contracts, and follows up with prospective and existing clients to secure bookings. The coordinator works closely with the events and operations teams to plan and execute meetings, conferences, banquets, and social functions, ensuring all client requirements are accurately captured and delivered. Daily tasks include maintaining event calendars, updating sales reports, handling administrative duties, and providing prompt, professional customer service to enhance client satisfaction and maximize revenue. The role also involves assisting with site inspections, coordinating event details with internal departments, and supporting post-event feedback and relationship building.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and clear, professional Communication.
- Event-focused capabilities such as Event Planning and Event Management, with the ability to coordinate multiple functions simultaneously.
- Sales-related skills in Sales and account follow-up, with an understanding of hotel or hospitality sales processes.
- Relevant experience in hospitality, events, or sales coordination, ideally in a hotel or luxury setting.
- Ability to work on-site, manage time effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with office and reservation/event management software; familiarity with CRM systems is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
