Description
- Oracle Exadata infrastructure engineering combining Oracle DBA administration and PLSQL programming skills to provide support for crown jewel bank applications.
- 24/7 including On-Call support activities of Exadata servers hosting Oracle DBs.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting databases on Exadata appliances.
- Excellent understanding, installing, administering and working knowledge of Oracle 12c through 19c databases.
- Good exposure and hands-on skills with Oracle database setup and configuration on Exadata. Create/manage Oracle Support requests and support application teams in issue resolution.
- Experience with Exadata Patch/Upgrade and release management (database, storage node, server, network, ROCi)
- Develop and maintain system documentation related to Oracle Exadata and software configuration.
- Strong experience in Oracle Database administration and monitoring including Exposure to Performance analysis and tuning of Exadata infrastructure.
- Good Working exposure in standalone, Oracle RAC & Rac one node architecture.
- Ability to troubleshooting performance issues of the databases hosted on Exadata for applications with high performance-oriented requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot storage cells, in case of any disk failure coordinate the fix with Oracle support. A good exposure on storage cells architecture is a must.
- Having good working knowledge on Oracle Linux and troubleshooting skills such as network connectivity, IP address configuration and OS related issues.
- Good working knowledge in RMAN cloning & restoring the database across different environment with large dataset.
- Ability to develop custom scripts using oracle PL/SQL & Shell scripting.
- Coordinate with different region team and work closely together.
Specialist Knowledge
- At least 5 years in Exadata infrastructure engineering combining Oracle DBA administration
Skills and Qualifications
- Good working knowledge in Oracle RAC/one node & standalone databases.
- Good knowledge in Shell scripting & Oracle PL/SQL.
- Having working knowledge in Exadata environment & troubleshooting skills in Oracle Linux.
- Professional Certification in Exadata infrastructure is of added advantage.
- Professional Certification in Oracle 12/19C database administration would be added advantage.
- X8/X9 Exadata machine working knowledge would be added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
