Overview:
We are seeking a driven and ambitious fresh graduate to join our China Desk as an Executive, Account Relationship (China Desk). In this role, you will be the key operational bridge for Mainland Chinese corporations expanding their operations into Malaysia. You will gain hands-on experience in cross-border banking, driving client onboarding, facilitating account openings, and providing day-to-day client servicing. This position offers a structured path to build a high-impact career in international corporate banking.
Key Responsibilities
Client onboarding & account opening by driving end-to-end client onboarding processes, including collecting Know-Your-Customer (KYC) documentation, processing corporate account openings, and setting up online banking platforms.
Client servicing & account management, serve as the primary point of contact for routine operational inquiries, resolving transactional requests and troubleshooting banking issues for Chinese clients.
Cross-border expansion support and assist Chinese enterprises in navigating
Malaysia banking ecosystem, local regulatory frameworks, foreign exchange administrative rules, and initial capital injection processes.
Cultural & operational liaison by leveraging your cultural affinity and language skills to bridge communication gaps between inbound Chinese corporate executives and internal Malaysian compliance, risk, and back-office teams.
Relationship building & event support, for instances support the Senior Relationship Managers in preparing client presentations, organizing corporate engagement events, and building strong relationships with local management teams.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline. Fresh graduates with strong academic track records are encouraged to apply.
Native or professional-level fluency in spoken and written Mandarin (to communicate effectively with stakeholders and head offices in China) paired with professional proficiency in English (for internal reporting and Regulatory compliance).
Familiarity with Mainland Chinese business etiquette, corporate culture, and communication styles.
Foundational interest in corporate banking solutions, including cash management, trade finance, foreign exchange, and lending products.
Open to Malaysian citizens or PRC Nationals currently residing in Malaysia with valid working/student status.
