Accountabilities

Job Description

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Set goals, develop plans, and execute acquisition strategies to achieve quality and profitable mortgage-related products.
  • Conduct research, plan, and implement initiatives targeting new markets to drive business and revenue growth.
  • Client Acquisition and Sales Conversion:
  • Pursue existing clients and new leads to achieve sales conversions, leveraging CRM and Edgeprop Auction referral programs.
  • Develop business proposals and deliver presentations to prospective clients.
  • Partnership and Engagement Development:
  • Strengthen and drive engagement programs with key stakeholders, including Developers, Solicitors, Real Estate Agents (REA), Property Valuers, Solar Providers, and other business alliances to grow the mortgage portfolio and profitability (e.g., Mbassador, StepFast program).
  • Promote one-stop banking services to existing business partners/alliances, focusing on deposit products, credit cards, and fee-based income solutions (e.g., Solicitor/Valuer/Developer deposits).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Affin Group companies, particularly Corporate & Enterprise Banking, to foster cross-functional collaboration (e.g., Affinita, MM2H programs).
  • Branding and Market Positioning:
  • Enhance bank branding through strategic collaboration and partnership programs with business alliances (e.g., Edgeprop START).
  • Impaired Loan Management:
  • Increase auction bidding rates and reduce Expected Credit Loss (ECL) through effective management of the Auction REA referral program.
  • Operational and Compliance Oversight:
  • Monitor and manage ad-hoc lawyer emplacement and review ad-hoc lawyer Professional Indemnity (PI) renewals.
  • Conduct annual reviews of solar provider panels.
  • Ad-Hoc Responsibilities:
  • Undertake new assignments and tasks as directed by the Head of Department (HOD) from time to time.
