Job Description

A. ROLE PURPOSE

  • Controlling the Project Cost which include planning, developing, and forecasting the project's cost, budget, revenue, and profit

B. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Comply with the HSE, Quality, Internal process compliance, and maintain UZMA Way especially integrity
  • Manage good business partner relationship
  • Manage and monitor Project Cost as per budget

C. RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting Project Management Team (PMT) in developing Approved Project Budget (APB)

Review & verified Project APB prepared by PMT.

Validate, manage, and analyze overall project cost inclusive of progress measurement methodology

Analyze project cost exposure for engineering, fabrication / procurement, and installation phase and advise Project Manager on critical activities; as well as recommend mitigation measures to minimize further cost exposure and meet project timelines

Generate analysis for CAPEX and OPEX exposure and providing feasibility study to increase the project profit

Generate periodical progress reports in tandem with Uzma's requirements and attend to project progress meetings as and when required to liaise with the Client, PMT and Vendor representatives for the project

Analyze invoices, Review and Endorse to ensure correct services were received at expected cost to develop & updating Project Profit & Loss (PNL) tracking record

To track & monitored the Project Revenue & Expenses for GPM target achieved.

To notify and alert Project Manager & Operation Team of any expenses reaching maximum APB limit

Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of interdependency of cost drivers and consolidate Vendor Payment Record (AP) for each project tracking in ensuring no double claim form vendor

Develop and implement proactive solution and cost-cutting measures and perform Cost saving plan to make sure project is profitable

Initiate negotiation with vendor for discount, mob-demob plan & etc. by advising Group Supply Chain (SCM) and PMT

Roll out clear cost-saving programs with timelines and assessment goals

Other duties as assigned

Complete departmental tasks and any ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the management and/or company

Negotiate with suppliers to obtain best price and service and identify cost reduction opportunities

Education Qualification

Minimum Degree in Finance, Business, Science, Engineering, or related field

Involvement in EPCIC and HWU turn-key project is an advantage

Skills and/or Experience:

  • Preferably with working experience in Oil and Gas EPCIC and HWU turn-key project
  • Advance knowledge in cost control computerized system
  • Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgment and have discretion
  • Minimum 4 years experience working as project cost controller
