Executive - Costing (Finance)

OVERVIEW

• Perform cost analysis, target costing, margin analysis, and track costs of underlying activities.
• Update standard costs in the bill of materials (BOM) and review standard versus actual costs.
• Coordinate inventory-taking activities.
• Update and maintain the cost accounting system, ensuring accurate data accumulation and reporting.
• Review controls for cost data and reporting systems to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Sort physical inventory counts and reconcile cycle counting variances with process owners.
• Set up manufacturing costing and stock valuation methods according to accounting policies.
• Review bill of materials (BOM) and validate monthly manufacturing costing data, updating standard costs and reviewing standard vs actual costs.
• Analyze production overheads, variances, product margins, and cost centres/plants to ensure accurate product costing.
• Prepare reports on periodic variances, investigate causes, and perform other duties as assigned by the superior.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree or professional qualification in Accounting (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, MACPA) or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in FRS and costing methods with strong knowledge of cost accounting concepts.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
