Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining cloud network security controls, managing cloud firewall rules, network access control lists (NACLs), and security groups to safeguard cloud server infrastructure.
- Perform monitoring and initial investigation of security alerts across system monitoring tools. Filter out false positives and escalate validated security incidents.
- Assist in conducting vulnerability scans, identifying unpatched systems, tracking Attack Surface Management (ASM) findings, and coordinating remediation efforts with IT teams.
- Assist penetration testers (VAPT) during scoping, vulnerability scanning, and basic technical validation of web applications and network infrastructure.
- Maintain records of public and internal SSL/TLS certificates, track expiration schedules, and ensure timely renewals to prevent service disruptions.
- Maintain accurate security incident logs, write operational reports, and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for routine security workflows.

Requirements

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Linux and Windows), web applications, and fundamental security concepts (OWASP Top 10, access control models, encryption principles).
- Ability to read network traffic, interpret server/security logs, and use standard command-line network diagnostic tools.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., Google, IBM, Alibaba), cloud firewall configurations, security group management, and cloud infrastructure protection principles.
- Knowledge of security monitoring platforms, vulnerability scanners, and network monitoring tools.
- Basic experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell for task automation and log parsing (added advantage).
- Strong problem-solving mindset, meticulous attention to detail, clear written communication for incident reporting, and the ability to work effectively under incident escalation scenarios.
