Executive, Finance (Retail) GL

Job Purpose

• Support in financial operations and financial accounting, which includes management reporting, statutory reporting, treasury, taxation and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall full set of accounts, preparation of journals for month end closing in accounting system and ensure timely submission of finalised accounts.
• Responsible for various financial reporting deliverables in accordance with finance policies, financial reporting standards and ensure timely submission.
• Prepare monthly schedules and reconciliation of accounts.
• Perform monthly analysis of actual expenditure against approved budget.
• Assist in annual budget and monthly forecast.
• Maintain asset schedule and manage all the assets related matters.
• Assist in cash management, monitor daily cash balance and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly SST submission, corporate tax computation, tax estimate and deferred tax calculation.
• Handle daily finance operations.
• Assist in IT system implementation and maintenance.
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of Finance department and to ensure controls are in place.
• Ensure finance administration, filling and documentations are in order.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as auditors, tax agent and etc.
• Any ad-hoc duties assigned by the management.

Education/ Professional Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any related discipline, with partial professional qualification of ACCA, CPA, CA, MIA, CIA or equivalent.

Professional Experience

• Partial professional qualification of ACCA, CPA, CA, MIA, CIA or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years experience in similar capacity. Must be able to handle full set of accounts.
