The Executive, Inventory Planning Optimisation (Category Optimisation & Allocation) is responsible for leveraging data analytics and automation to enhance inventory efficiency, improve forecasting accuracy, and support business decision-making. The role involves developing analytical tools, dashboards, and data models to drive optimized inventory planning and category performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Architecture & Design
- Conceptualize and design data warehouse and data mart solutions to support business analytics and reporting needs.
Automation & Process Optimization
- Automate recurring reports, data extraction, and analytical processes using Python or relevant tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Dashboard Development & Visualization
- Develop, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards for stakeholders, translating complex datasets into meaningful and actionable insights.
Advanced Analytics & Modelling
- Apply statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and optimization techniques to support category performance, inventory allocation, and replenishment strategies.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with category, supply chain, and merchandising teams to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance data quality, improve reporting efficiency, and strengthen overall analytical capabilities.
Ad-hoc Projects & Support
- Undertake other related assignments or analysis as required from time to time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or above from an MQA-recognized university and course.
- Preferred fields of study: Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or Data Analytics.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to manage and interpret large datasets.
- Experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an added advantage.
