We are looking for a driven and commercially savvy Executive, Marine Commercial Gas to support bid proposal development and commercial activities within our Marine & Asset Integrity Solutions (Gas) business. This role plays a key part in securing new projects by preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals, conducting market intelligence, and building strong customer relationships in the marine repair and offshore services sector.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Business Intelligence
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, competitor activities, and industry developments to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide accurate insights and forecasts to enhance business planning.
Customer Enquiries & Cost Risk Assessment
- Receive and manage customer enquiries and repair specifications.
- Coordinate with Estimating and technical teams to clarify requirements and obtain additional information.
- Identify and assess cost risks throughout the project lifecycle and propose mitigation strategies.
Bid & Proposal Management
- Review customer enquiries and tender requirements in line with client specifications.
- Coordinate cost estimating and budgeting to ensure accuracy and alignment with approved budgets.
- Prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals, including cost analysis, lessons learned, and budget forecasts.
- Present draft bids for internal review and secure approval prior to submission.
Customer & Agent Engagement
- Proactively follow up with customers and MMHE marine repair agents on submitted bids.
- Gather and act on feedback to improve proposal competitiveness and win probability.
Order Management & Handover
- Manage order acceptance and initiate job order numbers.
- Lead project handover sessions with Project Management, Cost Control, SCM, Production, and Operations teams.
Unsuccessful Bid Review
- Obtain customer feedback on unsuccessful bids.
- Analyze gaps and recommend improvements for future tenders.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
- Develop new customer networks and identify new business opportunities.
- Track repeat enquiries and new leads within the marine and offshore industry.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in marine repair, offshore services, or related industries.
