This position is responsible to support the manager in BAU tasks, especially driving the data analytics and reporting strategy. The role involves assisting in the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports to support business performance monitoring. Gathering and preparing data to ensure accuracy and completeness for analysis and reporting. Supporting the Manager in generating actionable insights to facilitate decision-making across key business areas. Liaising with relevant stakeholders to understand reporting needs and ensure timely delivery of outputs. Ensuring proper documentation and adherence to data governance, quality, and compliance standards.
Job Description
1) Data Support and Execution:
- Assist in the implementation of analytics and reporting initiatives to support performance tracking for Takaful Malaysia.
- Support alignment of reporting outputs with business objectives and regulatory expectations as guided by the Manager.
2) Dashboard Development & Reporting:
- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of interactive dashboards using tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Ensure timely and accurate data input, visualization updates, and consistency across dashboards and reports for both entities.
3) Data Analysis & Insights:
- Conduct descriptive analysis to identify performance trends and support the generation of insights for business users.
- Assist in preparing reports and insights presentations to support strategic decision-making across departments.
4) Collaboration & Stakeholder Support:
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, to gather reporting requirements and ensure deliverables meet business needs.
- Support cross-functional initiatives by providing relevant data and insights in coordination with the Manager.
5) Process & Quality Assurance:
- Help maintain data quality and integrity by following established data governance processes.
- Document reporting processes and support continuous improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
6) Learning & Development:
- Stay abreast of data analytics tools, best practices, and industry trends to enhance personal contribution.
- Participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions within the team to build analytics capabilities.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields (Master's degree preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in data analytics, dashboard management, or a related role.
- Experience in handling analytics and reporting for both Family Takaful (Keluarga) and General Takaful (Am) is a strong advantage.
