Job Summary
As a Executive, Server & Cloud your primary responsibility will be running the day-to-day operations to support the infrastructure systems, servers and cloud computing services within an organization. You will be working as a team and responsible for maintaining systems uptime, infrastructure systems / server setup and configuration, ensuring system security, managing server backups and recovery procedures, managing cloud computing cost, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the day-to-day operations to maintain systems uptime.
- Participate in IT Projects discussion, setup and deliver IT infrastructure services for the IT projects.
- Work as a team to achieve the team's KPI, medium and long term goals.
- Enforce IT policies, standards and procedures.
- Identify risks and work with the team to mitigate the risks for business critical applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the infrastructure systems, servers, working closely with other IT professionals as needed.
- Managing cloud-related costs and ensuring that the organization is getting the most value from its cloud investments.
- Work closely with the information security team to implement information security policies and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Ensuring all infrastructure systems related documentation is up-to-date and readily available.
- To stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in infrastructure systems and cloud computing and make recommendations for new services or platforms when appropriate.
- Standby for on-call support after office hours when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT orequivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in infrastructure systems and servers implementation andadministration.
- 1-2 years of experience in managing cloud computing. Experience in cloud migration is a plus.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with other IT professionals and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as Cloud Computing, Microsoft, Linux are highly desirable.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia or additional languages is an added advantage.
Working knowledge, technical skills and solid experiences in the following multiple domains:
- Microsoft Products (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Office365, IIS, etc)
- Linux system administration
- Cloud Computing (Google / AWS / Azure)
- Infrastructure Knowledge (Domain Name, Load Balancing, SSL Certificate, Email Relay, Data Backup, Antivirus, etc)
- Automation Tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Kubernetes and Containerization
- Bash / Shell, Powershell, Python scripting languages
- Virtualization, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI)
- Database (MySQL, MSSQL Always On, Failover Cluster)
