Join Star Media Group Berhad as an Executive for Star Foundation, the charitable arm of our organization. This pivotal role manages the efficient and responsible disbursement of Foundation funds and drives various key corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. You will be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and review of impactful initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Fund and Grant Management: Execute due diligence on applicants, manage fund processing and disbursement for supporting NGOs, the Star Social Impact Grant, and the Medical Fund, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Initiative Planning: Lead the planning, execution, and budget control for major Star Foundation initiatives like the Star Golden Hearts Award.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Editorial) and external stakeholders (e.g., hospitals, NGOs) to achieve project goals.
- Corporate Communication Support: Assist with marketing communication for assigned Business Units (BUs) and contribute to the Group's annual report, newsletters, and ESG/CSR initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Degree in a relevant discipline.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong ability to use journalistic style and corporate writing.
- Prior experience or exposure in voluntary or charitable organizations, and a passion for charitable causes and serving the underprivileged.
