JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Executive to join the Operations Compliance Department. This role is crucial in supporting the Head of Performance Enablement to drive the Department's strategic planning, performance management, and reporting functions with the following job scopes:
1.Strategic Planning and Performance Management
- Support the development and execution of Compliance strategic plans in alignment with the organisation's vision, mission, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct research, data analysis, and benchmarking to identify emerging compliance risks, industry best practices, and regulatory trends.
- Assist in developing compliance performance metrics, dashboards, and reports for management
- Monitor progress of compliance initiatives, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate cross-departmental input for compliance strategic projects, policies, and frameworks.
- Support change management, awareness, and training programmes related to compliance strategy.
2. Performance Reporting
- Collaborate with other sections across the Department to gather, validate, and prepare materials and information required for senior management reporting;
- Develop and update dashboards, reporting materials, and management decks on monthly basis for performance monitoring;
- Track and follow through on action item arising from reporting exercises to ensure timely closure.
3. Compliance Culture & Benchmarking
- Coordinate benchmarking exercises with external stakeholders to ensure the Department's compliance practices remain relevant, competitive, and aligned with industry standards and regulatory expectations;
- Design and coordinate internal compliance engagement with internal stakeholders such as awareness sessions, dialogues etc. to nurture a strong compliance culture across the Department and wider organization;
- Develop and administer compliance tools/surveys to measure staff awareness, understanding, and adherence, and translate noncompliance into actionable improvement plans.
- Act as an advocate for embedding compliance values into daily operations, promoting culture of accountability and integrity.
4. Liaison Officer/ Champion
- Be a liaison officer/champion in the Department if appointed by the Head of Department/Head of Section such as LO for Training and Personnel Development, LO for Risk Management, LO for Budget Management, LO for Procurement and/or LO Audit.
- Perform the tasks assigned as a champion in an orderly manner with proper monitoring to achieve the set targets.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Malaysian citizen.
- Pass Malay Language including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree with honours in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, Public Policy, or related field from local or overseas higher learning institutions recognised by the Malaysian government.
- At least 2 years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, regulatory affairs, or corporate strategy.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks (e.g., AML/CFT, data privacy, governance, or financial regulations) is an added advantage.
- High integrity with strong analytical, result-oriented, process-driven, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team member.
- Excellent report-writing, communication and presentation skills with good interpersonal skills, able to work in a diverse environment and build good working relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Proficient in both oral and written Malay and English language and able to communicate and interact well with peers, higher management and external parties.
