The Supervisor, Export and Service is responsible for coordinating terminal, port, and yard operations while ensuring strict compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards. The role involves leading operational teams, managing contractors, and ensuring that equipment and utilities (e.g., slurry pumps, water supply systems, WWTP, STP) operate smoothly.
The position also oversees budget monitoring (department budget: USD 12 million) and acts as the central contract manager for operational contracts. Key responsibilities include people development, safety oversight, monitoring service quality, and ensuring environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily terminal, port, and yard operations.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and environmental regulations.
- Manage and monitor contracts, service quality, and deliverables.
- Control operational budget and perform cost forecasting.
- Lead and develop team members through training and performance oversight.
- Maintain relationships with internal teams (Maintenance, HSE, Procurement, Lab, etc.) and external parties (Environmental Dept., business partners).
- Detect and resolve operational abnormalities.
Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Diploma or Bachelor's in Engineering.
- 1012 years experience.
- Strong skills in contract, safety, environmental, and people management.
- Good computer literacy.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of port operations and equipment such as conveyors, stackers/reclaimers, ship loaders/unloaders.
- Understanding of maintenance planning, reliability, and quality management.
- Strong leadership and ability to work under pressure.
