A fast-growing aluminium extrusion player in Malaysia is looking for an Export Business Development Manager

Your new company

The Export Business Development Manager is tasked with expanding and growing international sales for our aluminium extrusion operations. This role focusses on identifying and developing new overseas markets, securing global customers, and establishing a sustainable portfolio of long‑term, profitable accounts. The role will take full ownership of export business outcomes, leading activities from market entry and opportunity development through to deal execution, while ensuring commercial feasibility and alignment with operational capacity.

Your new role

  • Drive international expansion by identifying, developing, and entering new overseas markets for the aluminium extrusion business.
  • Acquire and grow global customers, building a sustainable portfolio of long‑term, profitable export accounts.
  • Own end‑to‑end export business performance, from market opportunity assessment and prospect development through to deal negotiation and closure.
  • Ensure all export opportunities are commercially viable and aligned with the company's operational capabilities, capacity, and delivery constraints.
  • Develop and execute export growth strategies that consistently deliver revenue targets while supporting long‑term business objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in export sales or international business development, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of export procedures and international trade practices, including incoterms and cross‑border commercial requirements.
  • Commercially driven mindset with the ability to balance revenue growth, margin optimisation, and profitability.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions.
