Extrusion Engineer

A manufacturing company in Seremban involved in the production of building and industrial components is looking for an Extrusion Engineer to support and optimize its production operations. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in extrusion processes, production troubleshooting, process improvement, and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control extrusion processes including heating, extrusion, cooling, stretching, and finishing operations
- Optimize process parameters to improve production efficiency, product quality, and material utilization
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to machinery, tooling, and production processes
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
- Collaborate with design, engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams to support smooth operations
- Analyze production performance and technical data to identify opportunities for process optimization
- Supervise and guide production personnel on best practices in extrusion technology and equipment operation
- Support the commissioning of new extrusion lines, machinery, and technologies when required
- Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and performance analysis for management review
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies
Requirements
- Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field
- Experience in extrusion, aluminium manufacturing, metal processing, or a related production environment is preferred
- Good knowledge of process optimization, troubleshooting, and production improvement
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
