Purpose Statement: To contribute to a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment at Plexus by leading a team in performing preventative maintenance, equipment repair, and facilities upkeep. A chargeman is a skilled electrical technician responsible for maintaining and operating electrical systems in buildings and facilities. Through effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving, they strive to ensure the smooth operation of daily processes, minimize downtime, and support the success of Plexus.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Perform routine inspections and carry out a proper preventive maintenance to ensure plant electrical systems or equipment are being operated in a safe and cost effective condition.
- Ensure installation and maintenance of electrical equipment are safe and complied to legal requirements.
- Coordinate and interface with utility providers and governmental regulatory body pertaining to utility related matters.
- Responsible and authorize to make decision to shut down the company facility and advise management on next course of actions during critical or life-threatening situation.
Education/Experience Qualifications
- Technical or Science Degree / Master Degree / PhD / Professional Certification in related discipline.
- Knowledge of the Electricity Supply Act and its regulations (Malaysian Law). Certified Chargeman, competent person by Energy Comission Malaysia
