About The Role

As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you willmanage a team responsible for providing overseeing building operations andmaintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sizedbuildings.

This job is a part of the FacilitiesManagement functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of aset of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairsand investment plans.

What You'll Do

  • Provide formal supervision toemployees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performanceevaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Schedule and manage the team'sdaily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-trainstaff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach asneeded.
  • Coordinate and manage facilityrepairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Maintain positive clientrelationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
  • Prepare and manage capitalprojects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
  • Perform facility inspectionsquality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggestoperational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Manage environmental health andsafety procedures for facilities.
  • Oversee vendor relationshipsand invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts,services, and labor for projects.
  • Conduct process and proceduretraining on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
  • Lead by example and modelbehaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties ofshared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of owndiscipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team anddepartmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, andresolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not beevident in existing systems and processes.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferredwith 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination ofexperience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required.Facility Management certification preferred.
  • Experience in the areas ofstaffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring,appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchangeof sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performanceexpectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivateteam impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline anddepartment.
  • Extensive organizational skillswith a strong inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Abilityto calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and otherfinancial-related calculations.
