About the Role
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Data Center Infrastructure Operations Manager to lead the operational excellence of our built data centers. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive O&M strategies to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of all critical infrastructure systems. This is a pivotal leadership position where you will drive performance, mentor teams, and contribute directly to our reputation for world-class service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement holistic O&M plans, schedules, and procedures for data center facilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client SLAs.
- Oversee the 24/7 operation, maintenance, and performance of all critical systems, including power distribution (HV/LV), HVAC, BMS, fire safety, and physical security.
- Monitor system performance metrics, conduct root cause analysis for incidents, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency (e.g., PUE optimization), and operational processes.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local regulations, safety standards, and client contractual agreements. Manage risk assessments, security protocols, and audit readiness.
- Lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, projects, IT) for new system integrations, commissioning activities, and retrofit projects from planning to successful handover.
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing O&M team. Organize regular technical training, drills, and knowledge-sharing sessions to elevate team capabilities.
- Prepare and manage the O&M budget, oversee spare parts inventory, and control operational expenditures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for operational reporting, management updates, and client communications regarding facility performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, PMP) are a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IDC infrastructure O&M, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role managing data center operations.
- In-depth technical knowledge of data center critical systems: HT/LT power distribution, UPS, generators, chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, BMS, and DCIM tools.
- Proven experience in the maintenance and operation of 10KV/11KV electrical systems and associated switchgear.
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing data center optimization projects, renovations, or capacity upgrades.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing technical drawings and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and analysis.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record in team building, performance management, and fostering a safety-first culture.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) is mandatory for regional collaboration and reporting. Proficiency in Mandarin is highly advantageous for coordination with global technical teams.
