OVERVIEW

A Facility Technician maintains and repairs a facility's physical infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient environment. Key duties involve performing routine inspections, diagnosing issues, carrying out repairs on equipment and systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Perform regular checks on facilities and equipment to identify potential problems and schedule necessary repairs.
  • Oversee the maintenance and functioning of building systems like heating, air conditioning, lighting, and water systems.
  • Complete a variety of general repair tasks, including carpentry, painting, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and prepare reports as needed.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance as per the 52 Weeks PM Calender
  • Monitor contractors work, verify and sign the service report

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.

  • Tool Proficiency: Experience using various hand tools and equipment for repairs.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, facility managers, and other department
  • Ability to read and digest electrical and mechanical schematic diagram.

QUALIFICATION

  • Vocational Certificate/Diploma/SKM in Engineering studies
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in facilities repairs work or building operations with knowledge of maintenance and services.
