About the Role

Fully responsible for the overall operation and management of the Johor Bahru Halal Food Factory (20,000 sqm, 400 employees), focusing on the factory management of pre-cooked food, clean vegetables production, vegetable sorting and sauces. Coordinate production, compliant operation, team building and other work to ensure the factory is put into production smoothly in August-September, support the implementation of factory business, and achieve performance targets.

Responsibilities

  • Production Coordination: Fully manage the core production links of the factory, including pre-cooked food, clean vegetables, vegetable sorting and sauces. Cooperate with the Production Supervisor to optimize production processes, reasonably allocate human resources, control production costs, ensure production efficiency and product capacity meet business needs, and especially guarantee stable supply to Singaporean customers.
  • Team Management: Responsible for the recruitment, training, assessment and daily management of all factory employees (including foreign employees from China, Indonesia, Bangladesh, etc., including Muslim employees). Coordinate the factory's staff supplement plan to meet the needs of temporary increase or decrease of staff, and balance labor costs and production requirements.
  • Compliance and Operation: Familiar with the labor and food production related laws and regulations in Malaysia, avoid non-compliance risks, properly handle labor disputes, irregular penalties and other matters, and ensure the whole process of factory operation is compliant.
  • Coordination Management: Coordinate the collaboration between the factory and sales, procurement, quality control, logistics and other departments to ensure that production plans are accurately matched with sales needs and procurement supply. Coordinate the supply of raw materials such as vegetables, meat and condiments, and link with the Procurement Manager to ensure sufficient production materials. Promote waste utilization and optimize the allocation of production resources.

Qualifications

  • Experience in food factory management in Singapore or Malaysia is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Professional Background: Have experience in factory management in the food industry (pre-cooked food, clean vegetables, vegetable sorting direction); those with experience in factory management of Shandong food factories, CP Group/Tyson and other enterprises overseas factories are preferred. Familiar with the management norms of Muslim employees and understand the relevant requirements of Halal food production.
  • Work Experience: More than 5 years of overall food factory management experience; have experience in factory management in Singapore and Malaysia, and can independently coordinate the whole process of factory from preparation, commissioning to stable operation. Those with experience in license application and government docking will be given extra points; those with government connections are preferred.
  • Core Competencies: Strong pressure resistance, able to properly handle employee disputes and mass employment issues. Excellent overall coordination, team management and problem-solving abilities; familiar with local labor and food production compliance requirements. Able to accept long-term work in Johor Bahru.

Preferred Skills

  • Other Requirements: Have cost control awareness, and can effectively promote the improvement of production efficiency and waste utilization. Strong communication skills, able to smoothly dock with internal and external departments and foreign labor companies.

Pay range and compensation package

Salary Range: 15,000 MYR - 30,000 MYR
