Position Overview

The Head of Factory is responsible for leading the overall manufacturing operations of the Vietnam facility, ensuring the achievement of business objectives across safety, quality, productivity, delivery, cost, and people development. This role requires strong expertise in glove manufacturing and a proven track record of driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Lead all factory operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and cost targets.
  • Drive overall plant performance and manufacturing efficiency through effective planning, resource allocation, and operational control.
  • Ensure production output consistently meets customer requirements, delivery commitments, and business objectives.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity and reduce operational waste.

Financial & Business Performance

  • Take full accountability for factory financial performance, including manufacturing budgets, operating costs, and resource utilization.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve profitability, optimize cost structures, and enhance overall plant competitiveness.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions where necessary to achieve business targets.

People Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing management team across production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and support functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Coach and mentor department leaders to strengthen leadership capabilities and succession planning.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards related to quality, health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and maintain a safe, healthy, and productive working environment for all employees.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational reliability.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with the company's long-term growth objectives.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with supply chain, engineering, procurement, quality, and commercial teams to improve business performance.
  • Support capacity expansion, process optimization, automation, and operational transformation projects as required.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree or professional qualifications will be an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience, including at least 4-5 years in the glove manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale manufacturing facilities with full responsibility for plant operations and financial performance.
  • Strong knowledge of glove production processes, manufacturing technologies, quality systems, and operational excellence methodologies.
