Position Summary
We are looking for Field Application Scientist (FAS) to serve as a primary technical field contact for our customers in Asia Pacific region. The FAS will function as a liaison between the customer and the company. In this capacity he/ she is responsible for the pre- and post-sales onsite technical support and market development activities for products/services including protein expression, antibody discovery on and protein analysis.
Role & Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Support
- Partnering with sales to understand customer needs
- Delivering technical presentations, product demos, seminars, and webinars
- Evaluating customer requirements and proposing tailored solutions
- Scientific & Technical Expertise
- Staying updated with research trends, competitor products, and new technologies
- Acting as subject-matter experts bridging R&D, production, PM, sales, and customers
- Providing valuable customer feedback to R&D and product development teams
- Collaboration with Sales & Marketing
- Developing application notes, white papers, and case studies
- Representing GenScript at conferences, exhibitions, and workshops
- Training & Internal Enablement
- Training sales teams and distributors on product features and value propositions
- Creating training materials, FAQs, and technical documentation
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in biologics-related fields (e.g., molecular biology, protein sciences, antibody production, or immunology).
- Experience in antibody discovery, protein production, mRNA, or immunotherapy is preferred.
- Prior experience in technical/customer support, sales, marketing, or scientific presentations is advantageous.
- Fluent English (written and verbal) is essential (TOEIC 700+).
- Proficiency in Japanese or Korean is a plus.
