The Field Engineer supports the execution of offshore transportation and installation (T&I) activities for floating facilities such as FSO, FPSO, or MOPU. The role ensures that offshore operations including towing, mooring hook-up, riser installation, and marine operations are executed safely and in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support offshore execution of floater towing, positioning, and mooring hook-up activities.
- Coordinate with marine spread including AHTs, installation vessels, and support vessels during T&I operations.
- Monitor installation works such as mooring chain recovery, chain pull-in, riser installation, and hook-up activities.
- Ensure offshore operations are carried out in accordance with approved installation procedures, method statements, and safety requirements.
- Liaise with contractors, vessel teams, and project management to resolve offshore technical issues.
- Verify installation progress and prepare daily offshore reports.
- Support pre-installation readiness including review of lift plans, rigging arrangements, and marine operations procedures.
- Assist in troubleshooting offshore installation issues and ensuring work compliance with project specifications.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Offshore, or related discipline).
- Minimum 58 years experience in offshore construction or T&I projects.
- Experience in floating facility installation such as FSO/FPSO/MOPU, mooring systems, or marine operations.
- Familiar with offshore installation procedures, marine spread operations, and vessel coordination.
