Job Description

  • Manage & lead the accounting team to ensure the efficiencies of the day-to-day operation accounting & financial activities, such as GL, AP, AR, FA and Inventory.
  • Responsible for the overall accounting function that includes preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecast, cash flow and management accounts.
  • Ensure budgetary controls, forecast & projections and monthly management accounts are prepared and reviewed on the timely basis.
  • Involve in accounting system implementation & enhancement, process improvement and ensure good internal controls are in placed
  • Ensure all operational related reporting, monthly financial management requirements and relevant Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for subordinates and attend to any ad hoc tasks.
  • Responsible for timely tax filing and bank negara filing.
  • Manufacturing background (desirable).

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with new set up.
  • At least 6 years (must have direct reports) of Finance/ Accountancy working experience.
  • Sage accounting system (desirable)
