Job SummaryWe are seeking a meticulous and strategic Accounts and Finance Manager to oversee the financial health and reporting of our client's operations. This role is pivotal in managing project-based accounting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing the financial insights necessary to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
Job ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Compliance: Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with MFRS, the Companies Act 2016, and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
Project Accounting: Monitor project costing, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and revenue recognition using the percentage of completion method to ensure accurate financial reflection of site progress.
Cost Management: Review subcontractor claims, progress billings, and cost allocations while performing rigorous margin analysis and cost coding.
Treasury & Cash Flow: Manage the company's cash position, funding requirements, and banking facilities, including the administration of performance bonds and guarantees.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless annual audits and compliance.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Spearhead the annual budgeting exercise and develop rolling financial forecasts and cash flow projections to support long-term planning.
Taxation & Governance: Oversee corporate and deferred tax computations, handle tax planning, and ensure compliance with LHDN requirements and corporate governance policies.
Internal Control: Assist in risk management and internal audit matters to safeguard company assets and streamline financial processes.
Professional Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or MIA membership).
Industry Experience: Minimum of 58 years of experience in finance, with a strong preference for candidates coming from the Construction or Property Development sectors.
Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian tax laws (SST/Corporate Tax), and construction-specific accounting treatments.
Analytical Skills: Proven ability to perform complex variance analysis and provide actionable management reporting.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for managing relationships with bankers, auditors, and internal project teams.
