About the Role

Ensure Financial Closing and Reporting is completed timely and in accordance with established accounting standard and AIA Group's policy and requirement for Takaful.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare manual journals for monthly closing
  • Responsible for accurate and timely submission of monthly/quarterly/yearly local statutory returns to regulators and other regulatory reporting requirements, including audited financial statements
  • Perform review on the variance analysis of the financial results pertaining to reporting to local management and statutory bodies
  • Identify and assist to implement initiatives to improve processes and collaborate across departments to ensure that initiatives are incorporated with sound financial controls whilst meeting business requirements
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements or on an ad-hoc basis and
  • Assist to attend or respond to enquiries/liaison with External Auditors, tax consultants, regulators and other statutory bodies.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • A recognized Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification, with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel and SAP are added advantage.
  • Able to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Analytical and good problem solving skills.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A good team player who is keen to learn.
