About the RoleThis position is responsible for accounting and reporting of Investment Accounting (IA) portfolio and Corporate Solution (CS) & AIA Health Services Sdn. Bhd. (AHS)
Roles and Responsibilities:
For Investment Accounting:
  • Responsible for preparing and ensure timely completion of monthly/ quarterly/ yearly reports and listings for investment portfolio of AIA MY entities.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliation of accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform reviews on variance analysis of the monthly investment results and proactive liaison with investment departments to obtain information to substantiate the results.
  • Identify and assist to implement initiatives to improve processes and collaborate across departments to ensure that new initiatives incorporate sound financial controls and efficient processes whilst meeting business need for responsible areas.
  • Support the COA maintenance and admin related request from Group Finance in relation to SAP.
  • Support for FAM system setup and support ad-hoc investment related projects/ initiatives.

For CS & AHS Reporting:
  • Prepare and ensure timely completion of monthly/ quarterly/ yearly reports, listings, Management Slides, Financial Statements.
  • Prepare the inter-company charges of AHS.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliation of accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform reviews on variance analysis of the monthly financial results and proactive liaison with other departments to obtain information to substantiate the results.
  • Identify and assist to implement initiatives to improve processes and collaborate across departments to ensure that new initiatives incorporate sound financial controls and efficient processes whilst meeting business need for responsible areas.
  • Responsible for Project/System enhancement UAT for GL postings and Finance reports.
  • Update new plan code and accounts for Chart of Account (COA). Review all COA mapping of CS's Policy Administrative Systems COA to detect and rectify any irregular mapping.
  • Attend to enquiry forwarded by internal clients, auditors and tax agents in relation to the financial related matters.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification, and/or other related qualifications.

  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience.

  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel and SAP are added advantage.

  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

  • Analytical and good problem solving skills.

  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • A good team player who is keen to learn.
