Finance Analyst

Overall Role:

This position involves supporting the month-end closing of accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The candidate will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, performing ledger reconciliations, and assisting with audits. The role also demands responsible document handling and adherence to company procedures and internal guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Support the timely closing of monthly accounts, including but not limited to journal postings and preparation of reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of the general ledger, promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
• Support audit exercises and reviews by auditors and/or authorities by preparing and providing requested information in a timely manner.
• Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy through automation and regular review of existing protocols.
• Ensure responsible handling and safekeeping of financial documents, schedules, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with company and departmental policies, guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Attend any ad-hoc assignments that may be required from time to time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word, or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of SAP B1 and BI tools is an advantage.
• 1–2 years of experience in Finance or Accounting; experience in the insurance industry is preferred
