Finance Executive

We are seeking a Finance Executive to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting the Finance Department in managing day-to-day financial operations, including payment processing, accounting data entry, financial reporting and banking-related activities.

This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cheques, payment vouchers and overseas payments (TT) for all regions.
• Update payment information promptly in the accounting system.
• Update data for local and international supplier bills, staff claims and other approved payments.
• Maintain proper filing systems for payment vouchers, receipts, bills, staff claims and bank statements.
• Prepare and maintain supporting documents for petty cash reimbursement.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports.
• Assist with yearly tax computation and related queries.
• Assist in preparing documentation for yearly financial reports.
• Assist in preparing supporting documents for disbursement and reimbursement of bank facilities, including term loans and working capital.
• Assist the management with daily finance-related tasks.
• Perform other ad hoc duties and assignments as instructed by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 year of working experience in a finance/accounting-related role.
• Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience in handling payment processing and accounting data entry is an advantage.
• Previous experience with oil & gas upstream services company will be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of local tax regulations (withholding tax, SST, commercial tax).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Good command of English, with good communication and writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and documentation skills.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with the Finance team.
