JOB DESCRIPTION
Core Finance (100% of Effort)
Accounts Payables
o Verify the accuracy of purchase-related documents and ensure all necessary supporting documentation is provided by requestors
o Validate details in vendor invoices, including the treatment of the GST applied on the invoice
o Follow-up with requestors or vendors for goods receipt, invoices on GIRO arrangements or validation of invoice information o Schedule invoices for payments as per payment timelines
o Process settlement of invoices in accounting system
Accounts Receivables
o Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on time
o Ensure invoices are duly approved before posting of invoices in accounting system
o Ensure timely clearing of AR
o Follow-up with relevant departments for any discrepancies
Month end closing
o Posting of month-end entries in accounting system
o Prepare Balance Sheet Schedules
Financial Year End Audit - Assist with both internal and external audit queries
Undertake any other finance duties as required.
WORK EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably within a Shared Services environment
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting process would be advantageous
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and SAP accounting software preferred
Experience in system implementation and process improvement is an added advantage
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, or related field
Candidates pursuing ACCA may be considered
