Job Description

Job Purpose

The Finance Executive will support the finance team in day-to-day accounting and financial operations for the RTS Operations Pte Ltd (RTSO). The role involves ensuring accurate and timely financial records, assisting in reporting, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, including processing payments, issuing invoices, and recording transactions accurately for Singapore and Malaysia operations.
  • Responsible for managing the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions to ensure accurate financial records, timely payments, and efficient collection of receivables.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances and assist in resolving discrepancies. • Preparation of month-end and year-end financial reports, including bank reconciliations and basic variance analysis.
  • Assist in preparing schedules for the financial statement and documentation for statutory filings to ensure timely submission.
  • Assist in maintenance of full sets of accounts in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International), Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, and company policies. • Assist in compiling data for group financial consolidation and quarterly reporting packages. • Collaborate with team members and external stakeholders (e.g., auditors) to support compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts by gathering inputs from business units.
  • Monitor and update cash flow records and assist in preparing cash flow projections for management review.
  • Assist in drafting financial presentation materials for internal meetings.
  • Support treasury tasks, such as tracking foreign exchange transactions and maintaining liquidity records.
  • Help ensure timely tax filings and assist in gathering data for tax compliance (e.g., corporate tax, withholding tax).
  • Provide basic financial analysis for ad-hoc requests to support business decisions.
  • Support data migration activities, including preparing and cleaning legacy AP/AR data, validating migrated opening balances, open invoices, and transactions, and performing post-migration reconciliations.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Assistant Finance Manager or Finance Manager.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent (e.g. ACCA qualification).
  • Minimum three years of relevant accounting or finance experience. Candidates with auditing experience will be preferred.
  • Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International) and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP B1 (including basic master data maintenance, transaction processing, and exposure to Data Transfer or migration is a plus).
