Igotopia is looking for an organised, ambitious and proactive Finance & Human Resources Executive to join our growing international team in Kuala Lumpur.

This isn't a traditional finance or HR role where you'll simply be given a list of tasks and work through them.

You'll play an important role in the financial and operational foundations of a growing technology group, working closely with management and helping shape the systems, processes and culture that allow our businesses to grow.

You'll have exposure to multiple companies, international operations, finance, HR, recruitment, payroll, compliance and business administration - and plenty of opportunities to take ownership and make an impact.

Igotopia is a growing technology and innovation group building and operating businesses across multiple industries.

One of our businesses, Gecko Digital, creates immersive digital experiences for some of the world's most prestigious luxury hotels and resorts, producing 360° virtual tours, photography, videography and technology platforms used by hospitality brands around the world.

We're also developing new technology products, platforms and businesses, giving our team exposure to everything from AI and automation to hospitality technology, digital media and SaaS products.

As Igotopia continues to expand, we're looking for someone who can help us build the financial, HR and administrative infrastructure to support that growth.

The Role

We're looking for someone who can help keep the people and financial side of the business running smoothly.

You'll work closely with the management team and take responsibility for a broad range of finance, HR and administrative functions.

You don't need to know everything on day one. We're more interested in your attitude, organisation, attention to detail, communication skills and willingness to learn.

The role will evolve as the company grows, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with it.

One day you could be reviewing financial reports and preparing management accounts.

The next, you could be coordinating payroll, helping recruit a new team member, preparing employment documentation, dealing with a tax or compliance matter, improving an internal process or helping solve an operational problem.

We're looking for someone who enjoys that kind of variety.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Finance

• Oversee and manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Prepare financial reports and provide insights into business performance to the management team.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses and financial performance.
• Support management with financial planning and decision-making.
• Supervise payroll administration, tax filing and audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
• Work with external accountants, auditors, tax advisers and other financial partners where required.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and controls.

Human Resources

• Oversee payroll, employee benefits and compensation matters.
• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts and HR documentation.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees.
• Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Malaysian employment and labour laws.
• Handle employee questions and concerns professionally and confidentially.
• Support staff welfare and help maintain a positive working environment.
• Work with management to improve employee processes and the overall employee experience.

Administration & Operations

• Help manage the day-to-day administrative requirements of the company.
• Support office operations and staff welfare.
• Coordinate with external suppliers, consultants and service providers.
• Maintain company documentation and records.
• Help develop and improve internal systems and processes.
• Assist management with ad-hoc operational and administrative projects.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Proactive and comfortable taking ownership.
• Confident working with numbers and financial information.
• Discreet and trustworthy when dealing with confidential information.
• A strong communicator who is comfortable dealing with people at all levels.
• Comfortable working independently without needing to be micromanaged.
• Curious and willing to learn new systems and processes.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, constantly evolving environment.
• Familiar with Malaysian payroll, tax and employment requirements.
• Experienced with accounting, finance and/or HR systems and software.

Previous experience in a combined finance/HR role would be useful, but attitude and potential are just as important to us as your CV.
