Job Description

Kenangan Coffee is a brand under Kenangan who owns Kopi Kenangan in Indonesia. We are the first F&B unicorn in SEA. Since we launched our first coffee retail outlet in KLCC Malaysia in Oct 2022; we have since grown to more than 120 coffee outlets and we are still expanding.

Kenangan Coffee is hiring an experienced Finance Manager preferably with background in F&B or retail sector. This role is pivotal in overseeing financial accounting with emphasis on daily AP/ AR transactional entry and review; e-invoice implementation and cashflow forecasting.

Working location: Damansara Utama, Malaysia

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5+ years in finance/accounting, ideally within the F&B sector, with hands-on experience in AP, AR and cashflow.
  • Ability to interpret financial data, optimize processes, and maintain rigorous attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders across multiple regions.

Job Role:

  • Lead the successful implementation and ongoing management of e-invoice processing, ensuring compliance with government standards.
  • Consolidate the transactions into e-invoice format and validate data with authorities to meet transaction tracking and audit requirements.
  • Oversee and manage AP, AR, Petty Cash, and Accounts Reconciliation.
  • Support in coordinating, reviewing, and reconciling AP and AR processes with the Finance Shared Services Team in Indoensia.
  • Handle operational finance matters with minimal supervision and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Take charge of preparing and maintaining a comprehensive set of accounts, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date, including progressive billing, WIP (work-in-progress), and claim tracking.
  • Oversee cash flow management and daily accounting records while working proactively to enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Play a key role in the annual budgeting process, including regular monitoring of budget performance and spending control on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
  • Ensure efficient month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Organize and maintain meticulous filing for all financial records, ensuring easy access and proper archiving.
  • Prepare tax-related documents and manage tax estimates in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate closely with external parties, including bankers, solicitors, auditors, and tax advisors, to support audits and handle tax matters effectively.
  • Support department heads and senior management on special projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.
