Job: Finance Manager
Location: Shah Alam, Selangor
Salary: 10,000 - 18,000 MYR
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial management of our client's plastic manufacturing operations. This is a senior, hands-on role, leading the Finance Department and playing a critical part in cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning aligned with the business objectives of a manufacturing setup.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee daily operations of the Finance Department.
- Manage cash flow and prepare short-term and long-term cash forecasts.
- Review and report on financial statements and ensure timely monthly management accounts.
- Develop business plans, annual budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Advise management on financial matters and strategic decisions.
Taxation & Profitability
- Lead taxation planning and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Monitor product profitability, including anti-dumping considerations.
- Develop and manage transfer pricing arrangements.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure proper maintenance of fixed assets register and insurance coverage.
- Ensure accurate and timely internal and statutory compliance reporting.
Operations & Strategic Support
- Set up and manage operations of IPC (International Procurement Center).
- Monitor billing, collections, and credit control.
- Oversee management payroll and review non-management payroll.
- Supervise IT operations and ERP (SAP) systems.
People Management
- Provide guidance and support to finance staff.
- Monitor staff performance and initiate development plans.
- Resolve departmental issues and ensure team efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with bankers, auditors, company secretary, tax agents, and lawyers.
- Coordinate with statutory authorities on regulatory matters.
- Ensure company secretarial matters are up to date.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or senior finance role in manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, taxation, compliance, and internal controls.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
