Finance Manager, Financial Services (Start Up)

Looking for a Finance Manager for a subsidiary of a listed conglomerate in Kuala Lumpur

A growing Malaysian financial services organisation and wholly-owned subsidiary of a Bursa Malaysia Main Market-listed group.

Your new role

• Lead the full Finance & Accounts function, covering financial reporting, month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, AP/AR, reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Oversee treasury, liquidity and cash flow management, including financing facilities, drawdowns, repayments, banking relationships and intercompany transactions.
• Manage financial accounting and reporting for the lending portfolio, including disbursements, repayments, income, fees, receivables and impairment provisions.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, taxation, statutory and regulatory requirements, while maintaining strong internal financial controls and governance.
• Lead statutory and internal audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax agents, regulators, financial institutions and professional advisers.
• Lead and develop the Finance & Accounts team while driving improvements in financial systems, reporting, controls and operational efficiency

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with a recognised professional qualification such as ICAEW, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or MICPA.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including at least 5 years as a Finance Manager, Head of Finance or equivalent with full departmental accountability.
• Proven experience independently managing full-spectrum finance, financial reporting, treasury, cash flow, audits and financial controls.
• Strong technical knowledge of MFRS, taxation, treasury management and corporate financial governance.
• Experience within financial services, lending, financing or another regulated industry is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate independently and engage senior management.
